Timo Glock leaves Marussia for Bigger and Better Things

What was heavily rumored yesterday has officially been confirmed; Timo Glock has officially parted ways with Marussia and, more largely, Formula One as a whole.

While it remains unclear what Timo will do next, it is very likely he will take part in the upcoming DTM test at Valencia. A few F1 drivers without a seat will be present at the test, as they look for another chance to race in 2013.

As for Timo’s replacement, there are several candidates, including Bruno Senna, Luiz Razia, Kamui Kobayashi and Vitaly Petrov. The latter, to me, seems the best option. Reasons for this can be found in the post immediately prior to this.

The F1 paddock will sorely miss Timo Glock, but we all wish him the best as he continues his racing career in other capacities.
